Within and across the seven interconnected Atlantic equity-focussed programs, Fellows collaborate across disciplines and borders to understand and address the root causes of pressing global problems.
Once Fellows graduate from one of the seven global programs, the Atlantic Institute based in Oxford, UK provides them with long-term resources and opportunities. This helps them to connect with each other, beyond individual programs, so that they might collaborate across disciplines and distances to tackle inequities.
Social connection is the beating heart of the Atlantic Community. We recognise that many of our Fellows are struggling with COVID-19, or have been dealing with its impact for some time. Our Fellows are sharing their experience, advice and strength here.

The Atlantic Institute's fifth webinar in the series explored Racialization of COVID-19: Resistance and Reimagining. It examined racism as a factor in the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on Black and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds, and how the virus has exposed the need for urgent change.

It motivated her to set up Refugee Trauma Initiative of which she is Executive Director. Zarlasht is also an Obama Fellow and was one of the speakers in the third webinar in the series, A (K)new World Reimagined on the topic, Displacement – Lockdown When You Have No Home.
